Favorite FireFox 3 Plugins

These are the Firefox 3 plugins I cannot live without:

Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer
If you use Firefox on more than one computer, you'll want Foxmarks. Install Foxmarks on each computer, and it will work silently in the background to keep your bookmarks synchronized. You can also log in to my.foxmarks.com to manage your bookmarks from any computer.

Custom Download Manager
This addon allows you to personalize your download manager. Now, you can open the download manager on a new tab or on the sidebar.

Open Tabs Relative
Tabs Open Relative makes all new tabs open to the right of the current tab, rather than at the far right of the tab bar.

Open Image In New Tab
Adds right-click context menu item for opening images in new tabs.

Undo Closed Tab Button
Tired of going to History -> Recently Closed Tabs just to undo a closed tab? Then this extension is for you! This extension allows you to undo closed tabs via a toolbar and/or tab bar button or the right-click context menu.

Adblock Plus
Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.

Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper
Fight the text ads! Element Hiding Helper is a companion extension for Adblock Plus meant to make creating element hiding rules easier.

Flashblock
Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

Mouse Gestures Redox
Allows you to execute common commands (like page forward/backward, close tab, new tab) by mouse gestures drawn over the current webpage, without reaching for the toolbar or the keyboard.

I'd love to know what plugins you use, leave a comment with a description.

for undo tabs, try simply pressing ctrl+shift+t to recover your most recently closed tabs in the order you closed them (from most recent backwards)

Adblock Plus &
Filterset.g updater
No more ads

Screengrab
Save whole webpages as pictures

Mailfrom

Definitely these:
Delicious - online bookmarks so I access them wherever. New add-on is absolutely fantastic, plus you can setup your Tracker to search in Delicious.
Speed Dial - Opera-like thingy, find it very useful (note that there's Fast Dial out there too, but I find Speed Dial better).
Scrapbook - save parts of a web page or entire thing onto your HD. Useful since sites tend to disappear, move etc. Plus if you have a laptop, you can read things when offline. You can also highlight passages you like the most.
Ctrl-Tab - works with tabs the way Alt-Tab works with applications.
Answers - since English is my 3rd language, left-click while holding Ctrl is quite handy time to time.

AdBlock (nothing else to say)
FireBug (mandatory web developer companion)
FoxyProxy (powerful proxy manager, but I only use a very small subset of it)
HtmlValidator (check my work's quality ;))
ScrapBook (powerful page downloader and bookmarker, useful to read pages/sites offline)
TabMixPlus (do a lot of things with your tabs)
TinyMenu (shrink your menus to only one button, then have only one toolbar!)
WebDeveloper (more web developer tools)

I use Foxmarks,
Adblock Plus,
Fasterfox (I am not sure it actually makes things faster but doesn't make them slower either:),
Forecastfox (gives surprisingly reliable weather forecast for the next couple of days),
FoxLingo (gives a huge and more or less categorized link collection for elearning, dictionaries, speech emulators and other things useful for language teachers)and
DownloadHelper , which now enables you to download flash videos in any other more editable format on your hard disk if you have ffmpeg installed.

Seems redDEAD spends more time working on UbuntuMini (blog) :). I just hope, that on 30th Oct 2008 when Intrepid gets released officially, he will make a guide to help us set everything up properly.

Tiny Menu. Useful for netbooks. only a toolbar for menus and tools!!
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1455
Firefox

1. After you install, right click on any toolbar and choose customize.
2. Drag all items in the navigation toolbar (back/forward, address bar, etc) up into the menu bar. Click 'Done'.
3. Right click on a toolbar again, and un-select the (now empty) navigation bar.
